Seasons:

  • Dry Season (Summer) (high season): Mid-December to Early April (dates may vary) from 16°C to 30°C or 60°F to 86°F, with a lot of breeze and wind, cool and sunny. Occasional drizzle or "Bajareque," perfect for rainbows.

  • Rainy Season (Winter) (low season): April to Mid-December (dates may vary) from 14°C to 28°C or 57.2°F to 82°F, usually sunny in the mornings with rain starting after noon.

    • Take the Inter-American Highway / Approx: 6-8 hrs / 480 km or 298 miles.

  • From Pedasí:

    • Take the Inter-American Highway / Approx: 4-6 hrs / 374 km or 232 miles.

  • From Bocas del Toro:

    • Almirante - Gualaca / Approx: 3-4 hrs / 179 km or 111 miles.

  • From Santa Catalina:

    • Inter-American Highway / Approx: 3-4 hrs / 274 km or 170 miles.

  • From Bocas del Toro:

    • Two buses: 5-6 hrs.

    • Bus from Almirante to David: every hour, $5-$9.

    • Bus from David to Boquete: every 15 minutes, $1.75.

  • From Santa Catalina:

    • Four buses: 6-8 hrs.

    • Santa Catalina to Soná: ONLY THREE BUSES at 5:00, 12:00, and 16:00 - $4-$6.
